Sandee Tavisora, LMT, NCTM

Sandee Tavisora is an alumni of the Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy where she graduated with honors in 1999. There, she was educated by owner Cynthia Ribiero, current AMTA President.  Muscle Therapy Works was founded in the same year to offer the benefits of soft tissue therapeutic care to her clients so that they may live in a "pain free" body.  Sandee believes that a variety of soft tissue manipulation techniques, including Neuromuscular Therapy, are the most sensible and effective ways to treat many common health problems. Her beliefs also lie in the preventative power of therapeutic massage therapy care.

Sandee is also an Energy Body Healer utilizing the techniques of her field of study. Certified in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition of Reiki, she guides individulas towards a more positive, healthy and balanced life.

Sandee holds her National Certification through the National Certificaion Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).  She is Licensed in the state of Nevada and has been a proud Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1999.  

Sandee currently teaches massage therapy  and has been for many years.  By providing her students with the knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and a multitude of modalities it allows others to carrying on therapeutic care.  She has volunteered an extesive amount of her time at the Lab of Anatomical Enlightenment where she worked directly under master dissector Todd Garcia.  There Sandee taught Anatomy to incoming massage therapy students through her precise cadaver dissections.

Sandee is continually enhancing her knowledge in the field of Therapeutic Care.  Her continuing education credits have been under the study of Judith DeLaney (Neuromuscluar Therapy), James Waslaski (Orthopedic Massage), Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains) and Michael McGillicuddy (KinesioTaping) just to name a few.  Sandee is in the process of becoming a Certified Kinesio Taping Practicioner (CKTP).

Sandee plans on continuing her private practice and education in the healing arts through connecting the Body, Mind and Spirit to create overall Balance in one's life.
